Chanda M. Womack’s business savvy propels SOLO Woman Communications, Inc., which publishes SOLO Woman Magazine. Ms. Womack who oversees key business operations for the company has a diverse background, which includes sales and business development. She has vast professional experience and has spent time in public, private and governmental sectors. She is a graduate of Georgia State University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Ms. Womack's tenure as a divorced, single woman and mother for over 15 years, before remarrying in 2009, guided her to find God's purpose for her life - "To be a light for single women all over the world". She is driven to educate and share her story with single women on how to live a wholesome, and healthy single lifestyle. SOLO Woman Magazine editorials address single women in business, parenting, finance, fashion, beauty, health, travel and overall self-improvement with a mission to celebrate the achievements, rejuvenate the minds and capture the spirit of single women.
Hailing originally from Milwaukee, Ms. Womack moved to the Atlanta area in 1993 with her three children. She was determined to be a positive example for her children and promote the importance of education. Ms. Womack, despite many obstacles and hardships as a single woman, aggressively and with pure determination pursued and received her degree while a full-time mother, student and working 3 part-time jobs. Her belief is, "If there is a will there is a way"!
While pursuing her degree, Ms. Womack worked in television promotions and production where she was able to develop her writing skills. As an intern at FOX Television, in Milwaukee, she wrote press releases and voiceovers scripts for local and national programming. Ms. Womack was very instrumental in developing the Fox Kids Club Magazine, a national publication, including conception, design/layout and advertising sales. During the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, Ms. Womack worked for the Canadian Broadcast Channel (CBC) where she did play-by-play sports writing covering over 32 sporting events.
On moving SOLO Woman Communications, Inc. forward, Ms. Womack is busy preparing for the success of SOLO Woman Magazine in hopes that it will reach the market across the U.S., Caribbean Islands and beyond. She hopes to complete her first book and launch workshops and conferences for single women worldwide.
